JERSEY!!!!!

So on my way to visit family in Jersey (Half way there and Stayin the night in MD). We usually try to go up around July 4th and visit them! I am excited to see them :D It's been a year!

I am Loving the card class I am taking online!! It's great :D So inspiring and motivating! Excited to make some when I return home!!!

I am house sitting again when I return home and have to work some too.

Went shopping in MD today at Prime outlets and I didn't buy but 2 things :(

Feeling Organize-y!

Well today I swam with my neighbor and her 2 year old :) We had a blast and boy is that girl a FISH!!! She can tread water on her own... and she's 2! It was awesome!

I then re-organized my scrapbook room (with all the stuff I bought at the mall the last 2 days). Well not only did I clean and organize, I moved furniture too!!! (I am posting a video on youtube that I took walking through it and the changes; poodleprincess08 is my username on there, so look it up!!!)

I am off work until Monday (YEPPIE!) so maybe I'll make cards and scrapbook tomorrow :)

So I realize that this post is really really random, but oh well :D

HOLY MOLY!

It's been over a YEARRR since I posted last, oooppppssss!!!!!

Guess I've been kinda busy (maybe forgot about it)

So what's been going on in my life.... (in no order what so ever)

Well, I just finished my Junior year at Marshall University in the Nursing Program
(it sucked and was super stressful/hard but I made it along with my classmates!!!)

I got a lot closer to some of my classmates :) I honestly would not have made it without them!

I became SNA President!

I had a blood clot in my Right lung (march 15th) and spent 4 days in the hospital (BUT I'M FINE!!!) been on coumadin since then and hopefully go off that this week coming up :)

I started weight watchers (lost 18 pounds so far)

Got a job at Cabell in the OR as a nurse Extern :)

I took a summer class all summer of 2010, did the whole junior year, then just finished a summer class (4 week) for summer 2011 (with an A!!!). School has been killer

I went to an Eric Church Concert (BEST CONCERT EVER)! Great Performer and great music <3

I went through a crashing of a laptop... then went Mac and I'll never go back

Got an iPhone (I LOVE IT!)

Began Cardmaking/ Scrapbooking (got a cricut for Christmas, thanks mom and dad)

I turned 21!!!

Did Be Hope to Her for the 3rd time (and loved it even more)

I am sure so much more has happened but that's what I can think of... Now as to what is to come next

Working about 3 days a week for the most part (9-5)
House sitting for people at my church some
Continuing Weight Watchers with my Mom
Starting Couch to 5K
Maybe learn how to play my guitar
Make some cards
Planning SNA stuff
Going to my Dads Parents house
Going to the Greenbrier Classic with Dad
Going to the beach with mom
Then beginning my senior year of nursing school

How 5-Gallons Can Change Your Life

So there is this thing held on college campuses called BE HOPE TO HER ran by a nonprofit organization called NURU... and Marshall held an event tonight to tell us more about NURU and this event...

NU-RU: is a Kiswahili word meaning light: it is also a new humanitarian organization at the crossroads of innovation and extreme poverty. How can you be Nuru? It begins with hope.

So at this event tonight we learned about how Nuru was started by a guy who was a Marine and about some stories that made him see that extreme poverty needs to end, so he started this organization with some professors of his at Stanford's grad school and his classmates. And he was from WV! I did the BH2O+ event last year and WOW... it was AMAZING! I didn't know that carrying water on my head for 30 mins would be that changing! It puts you in the shoes of these women and girls who can't attend school because they have to go get water (dirty, infested, deathly water) 2-3 times a day and the sources aren't close... they are 30 mins away and when it's drought season... they walk farther and stand in long lines to try and get water, water that is killing them. So BH2O+ raises money to help build wells with clean water and closer to the communities so that the girls can go to school... so that the families aren't as sick... so people can build their lives. So on my way home I heard a song on the radio... I've heard it before but never really paid that much attention until tonight. It's by Alan Jackson and the part I heard was: Faith hope and love are some good things he gave us and the greatest is love. Showing these people love by showing we care and that we want to help is the greatest thing we can do... if it's 5 dollars or 5 million if it isn't given with love why give it out? Love is the most important thing and the greatest thing we can give, and it's free to give, its unending we can give more and more and more and there is still plenty to give.
